This tombstone was identified as #210006 in the 2001 MTSU Survey.

In 2005, in the Tombstone Inscription project, the inscription could not be read because the tombstone had fallen face down.
During restoration in 2007, the tombstone was reset and the inscription was recorded.

Recorded 2007: Same as Acklen (1933) except

her year of death in Acklen  “1830 or 1850.”

Probable death date: 1830. First date of

entry for burial in the City Cemetery Interment

Books was 1846 (entries between 1822 -1846 lost).

If Bathenia Wills had died in 1850, she would

have been listed in the Interment Books.
